"We are pleased to provide this report on the Foundation’s progress across our focus areas in 2019. Through our Fellowship Programs and military grants we have had a number of significant developments towards our mission.
Reflecting on the progress we have made in the past year, we are encouraged by the advancements throughout our programs. As we enter this new year, we remain dedicated to advancing our work in 2020 and beyond.

Toward encouraging and honoring public service, in 2019 the Foundation provided Fellowships to 20 aspiring public servants for their graduate education. In addition, the Foundation made grants, in partnership with the Rumsfeld Family Fund, totaling $277,500 to a select group of 20 military charities, all providing innovative and impactful programs and opportunities for our nation’s troops, veterans and their families.
To support and engage with the important region of Greater Central Asia, the Foundation welcomed 24 Central Asia-Caucasus Fellows to our Fellowship Program and growing alumni network, as well as co-hosted the 2019 CAMCA Regional Forum in Tashkent, Uzbekistan for leaders and professionals engaged in the region.
