Supporting our Nation’s Military and Veteran Community this Giving Tuesday

Washington, D.C. — This Giving Tuesday the Foundation is pleased to announce $277,500 in 2019 grants from the Rumsfeld Foundation and Rumsfeld Family Fund to military charities assisting active duty troops, veterans, the wounded, their families and the families of the fallen. The efforts of this year’s grant recipients fall under the Foundation’s key focus areas including veteran employment and civilian transition, outdoor rehabilitative activities, and support for military spouses and children, wounded veterans and the Special Operations Community. Since its establishment in 2007, the Rumsfeld Foundation has provided grants totaling over $5.9 million to organizations supporting U.S. service members, veterans and their families.
All of Donald Rumsfeld's profits from the sales of his memoir, Known and Unknown, and the Churchill Solitaire app are contributed to the military charities the Foundation supports. To date, these profits have totaled more than $755,000.
