Graduate Fellows

This fall, the Foundation was pleased to recognize an alumna who has exhibited extraordinary intellectual ability, integrity, and leadership in public service. We were delighted to award the 2024 Alumna of the Year Award to Dr. Meg Reiss.

Washington, D.C. – The Rumsfeld Foundation hosted its 12^th annual Graduate Fellowship Conference in Washington, D.C. on September 12^th-13^th. As the Fellowship Program’s flagship event, the conference assembles its network from across the country including current 2024 Graduate Fellows, Fellowship alumni and program Advisers.

This spring, a partner entity of the Rumsfeld Foundation, The Institute of World Politics (IWP), hosted a reception honoring its founder, Dr. John Lenczowski, for his far-reaching impact across IWP’s community and his distinguished career in public service. The Foundation has been fortunate to benefit from Dr. Lenczowski’s dedicated service as an Adviser to our Graduate Fellowship Program for more than a decade and, throughout that time, to have supported 13 impressive IWP graduate scholars who are committed to public service.

Washington, D.C. – On Saturday, May 4^th the Rumsfeld Foundation convened members of its Graduate Fellowship Network for the Foundation’s annual Spring Retreat in Annapolis, Maryland.

We are delighted to share in this blog post about a recent unique crossover experience between our Graduate Fellowship and CAMCA Fellowship programs this past fall.

This fall, the Foundation was pleased to recognize an alumnus who represents the next generation of civic-minded leaders. We were delighted to award the 2023 Alumni of the Year Award to Dr. Ben Judge!

Washington, D.C. – Over September 21^st-22^nd the Rumsfeld Foundation hosted its eleventh annual Graduate Fellowship Conference in Washington, D.C. with network members attending from across the country.

Washinton, D.C. - The Rumsfeld Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of its 2023-24 Graduate Fellows.

This spring the Foundation reached an exciting milestone of our Graduate Fellowship Program as we selected our new 2023-24 Fellowship cohort, marking the start of the program’s 15^th academic year! With the addition of our new Fellows, the Foundation has been delighted to award Fellowship grants totaling more than $3.9 million to support over 200 Fellows since the program’s inaugural grants in 2009. To commemorate these recent milestones and the program’s development, we asked a few alumni within our Graduate Fellowship Network to reflect on the impact of their experience as a Fellow, share some insights on what makes the program and network unique and more. We hope you enjoy hearing firsthand from some of our terrific alumni!
