"The past year held several noteworthy milestones for the Foundation, particularly for our Central Asia-Caucasus Fellowship Program, as we celebrated the program’s 10-year anniversary surrounded by many friends and partners whose contributions have been central to its progress. Looking forward, we are committed to continuing to strengthen the networks of our two key Fellowship Programs. In addition, we will continue to provide support to our nation’s military and veteran communities through our ongoing partnerships with some of the most effective charities across the country." - Don Rumsfeld, Founder and Chairman.

Toward encouraging and honoring public service, in 2018 the Foundation provided Fellowships to 17 aspiring public servants for their graduate education, as well as made grants, in partnership with the Rumsfeld Family Fund, totaling over $343,000 to more than 20 military charities working to support our nation’s troops, veterans and their families.

To support and engage with the important region of Greater Central Asia, the Foundation welcomed 23 Central Asia-Caucasus Fellows to our Fellowship Program and growing alumni network last year, as well as co-hosted the 2018 CAMCA Regional Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan for leaders and professionals engaged in the region.
